SpaceX head Elon Musk warned of the risk of humanity's disappearance, pointing to the example of the demographic situation in Singapore.

"Humanity is disappearing," Musk wrote on X, commenting on the news about new measures to support demographics in Singapore.

Earlier, the Financial Times reported that the authorities of Singapore announced payments to families of more than $55,000 for each child due to a record decline in the fertility rate in the city-state.

To maintain a stable population size, a rate of 2.1 is required. In 2026, Singapore may become a "super-aged" society, where the share of the population over 65 years old will exceed 21%, the newspaper writes.
