Peskov assures that there will be no new mobilization in Russia
There will be no new wave of mobilization in Russia, presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.
He called information about plans to carry out such measures “information canards” spread to destabilize the situation in the country.
“All of this is being planted by the Ukrainian authorities. Naturally, the regime is trying to ideologically stir up the situation in our country,” the Kremlin representative told RTVI. “These are all such information canards that are deliberately thrown into the information field.”
Vladimir Putin announced partial mobilization on September 21, 2022. Its completion was reported on October 31, although no official decree on its completion was signed. Dmitry Peskov assured that, following consultations with lawyers, the Kremlin came to the conclusion that a special decree was not required. The Russian Defense Ministry has repeatedly stated that there are no plans to conduct additional mobilization measures.
The Foreign Ministry said the same thing.
