Pashinyan intends to create an investigative commission in Armenia's parliament on the issue of the AAC
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced his intention to create an investigative commission in the Armenian parliament on the issue of the Armenian Apostolic Church (AAC).
During his speech in the legislature at the discussion of the government's program for the next five years, the head of the cabinet once again stated that he would not allow "a state within a state in the country." At the same time, he assured that the Republic of Armenia can adopt an appropriate law and demand that it be followed.
"The government of Armenia will publish a report 'on the crisis in the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church' within a month at the latest. I will propose creating an investigative commission in parliament, discussing all the facts and, based on the results, adopting legislative changes," the Armenian prime minister said.
