Irina Zaretska retains lead in world rankings

Azerbaijani national team karate fighter Irina Zaretska (68 kg) retains her lead in the world rankings.

As azerisport.com reports, the three-time world champion, with 5,790 points, is 45 points ahead of her closest pursuer — the reigning world champion, France's Thalia Sombeni.

The winner of the latest European Championship, Madina Sadykhova (55 kg, 3,515 points), is in fifth place.

We add that both Zaretska and Sadykhova will take part in the upcoming Series A tournament in Salzburg, Austria.
