The EU considers the resumption of Ukrainian ports on the Black Sea a priority
The EU considers the resumption of the work of Ukrainian ports on the Black Sea to be its strategic priority.
This was announced by the head of the European Council, Antonio Costa, in an interview with the Ukrinform agency.
"The EU has clear priorities: to strengthen Ukraine's air defense, restore navigation in the Black Sea and prepare for the next winter," he said.
According to estimates by experts in the field of maritime logistics, Russia's systematic airstrikes on Ukrainian ports on the Black Sea and on the transport vessels located there have sharply reduced traffic in the northwestern sector of the Black Sea, which greatly complicates the supply of weapons by the European Union and NATO countries to the conflict zone on the territory of Ukraine.
