The U.S. is not yet holding talks with Iran

The administration of U.S. President Donald Trump is not yet holding talks with Iran on a peaceful settlement of the conflict.

This was stated by White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.

"At this time, no talks are being held, and this state of affairs will continue until the president feels that they (Iran — TASS note) are ready to sit down at the negotiating table and hold serious discussions," she said on the air of the Fox News television channel.

Leavitt added that the final decision on resuming talks remains with Trump.
