Trump: Russia is not going to attack NATO countries

U.S. President Donald Trump said he is not concerned about the possibility of Russia attacking NATO countries.

In an interview with Axios, he called CIA Director John Ratcliffe's visit to Moscow a routine working trip and denied reports that he was supposed to warn the Russian side against taking action against members of the alliance.

Trump called Ratcliffe's trip a "standard business trip" and expressed bewilderment at its coverage in the media.

"Ratcliffe meets with his Russian counterpart once every six months or once a year. They have very good relations. There were no messages, and nothing unusual happened," the American president said.
