The Taliban movement has declared its desire to normalize diplomatic relations with the United States and would welcome the return of the American embassy to Kabul.

According to the Al Hadath television channel, representatives of the movement called on Washington to change its "belligerent policy." The Taliban noted that the unfreezing of Afghan assets by the U.S. would also contribute to improving bilateral relations.

Washington still refuses to recognize the Taliban government, despite the fact that five years have passed since the change of power in Afghanistan.
