Trump: Venezuelan oil will help replenish U.S. strategic reserves

Oil supplies from Venezuela will make it possible to replenish the reserves of the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve.

As 1news.az reports, the head of the Washington administration, Donald Trump, wrote about this on the social network Truth Social.

"One of the things I'm going to do with Venezuelan oil is fill the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, which, because of the previous president, Sleepy Joe Biden, was practically emptied," the post reads.

Trump noted that the process of filling the storage facilities will begin soon, and that this is "a gift from Venezuela to the people of the United States."

Earlier, the American leader announced the conclusion of the largest oil deal in world history between the United States and Venezuela. Thanks to the agreement, the United States will gain control over more than 65 billion barrels of the Bolivarian Republic's proven oil reserves.
