Iran says the U.S. has lost hundreds of people since the start of the conflict

The United States has lost several hundred people killed and thousands wounded during the conflict with Iran, claims a high-ranking representative of Iran's armed forces, Abolfazl Shekarchi.

"According to available data, in the course of hostilities against Iran's armed forces, U.S. losses amounted to hundreds of servicemen killed and thousands wounded. The losses of Israel, which acted in coordination with the United States, exceeded one thousand killed, and thousands of wounded have also been recorded," he told the Iranian agency Defa Press.

Shekarchi stated that Tehran intends to achieve the withdrawal of American forces from the Middle East.

According to Pentagon reports, the number of American servicemen killed or wounded during the conflict with Iran has reached 776 people: 18 killed and 758 injured.

On February 28, the United States and Israel began striking targets on Iranian territory, to which the Iranian side responded with its own strikes. In mid-June, Tehran and Washington signed a memorandum on the cessation of hostilities, but after some time they again exchanged strikes. At present, the conflict remains unresolved.
