Pezeshkian calls to strengthen SCO potential to counter new threats
President of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian stated the necessity of strengthening the institutional and expert potential of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) to counter terrorism, extremism, and new security threats.
As ISNA reports, Pezeshkian made this statement at the SCO summit on Tuesday in Bishkek.
According to him, the use of force threatens not only the security of individual states, but also the stability of the region and peace in general.
Touching on the situation around Iran, Pezeshkian stated that Tehran is ready to take reciprocal steps in case the US returns to fulfilling its obligations under the agreement.
"If the US returns to fulfilling its obligations under the agreement, Iran will immediately take reciprocal steps," said the president of Iran.
