Trump's ratings fall below Biden's low
The approval rating for the work of U.S. President Donald Trump remains at the lowest level of his entire political career due to the war with Iran and the economic situation inside the country.
This is indicated by a joint poll conducted by Reuters and Ipsos.
Only 33% of Americans approve of Trump's work in the White House. It is noted that this is the third consecutive poll in which such a share of respondents speaks positively about the president.
"His rating is lower than the lowest figure reached by his predecessor as president, Democrat Joe Biden — 35% approval in October 2024," the text says.
Reuters writes that, like Biden, Trump has faced widespread discontent over the high level of inflation. Gasoline prices rose sharply after he ordered the bombing of Iran to begin in February, the agency recalls.
Prior to this, Donald Trump published his own ranking of American leaders on Truth Social, placing himself at the top of the list in a separate category, "The Greatest." Among the "great," Trump included Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, Franklin Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, Thomas Jefferson, and Andrew Jackson.
