Muslim countries have decided to strengthen regional security on their own

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei stated that Muslim countries have come to the conclusion that they need to ensure regional security on their own, without relying on U.S. guarantees.

According to Baghaei, Tehran does not perceive the agreement between the three Muslim states as a threat, since these countries had previously faced direct or indirect threats.

Baghaei noted that Iran has already held consultations with these states and intends to continue the dialogue with Turkey.

“Muslim countries have come to the conclusion that they cannot rely on the United States on matters of their security, and have realized the need for cooperation to protect it,” he said.
