Iran International: IRGC commander eliminated by Israel survived

The intelligence unit of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) is planning attacks in East Asia.

This was reported by Iran International, citing sources familiar with the plans.

According to the outlet, as part of the preparations for the operation, three people were recruited through Shiite clerics in Thailand and Indonesia. The alleged attacks could be carried out in the Strait of Malacca and the Bangkok Strait, as well as at the port of Tanjung Priok in Indonesia and the ports of Ningbo-Zhoushan and Shanghai in China.

Iran International claims that the operation is being led by the head of the IRGC's "4000" intelligence unit, Rahman Moghaddam. Earlier, Israeli media reported that he had been eliminated as a result of strikes on Iranian territory on March 3.

According to updated information obtained by the outlet, Moghaddam survived the Israeli strike and is currently leading the so-called "new stage of naval operations" of this unit outside Iran.
