CENTCOM reports strikes on IRGC facilities in Hormuz

The U.S. armed forces today began carrying out a series of strikes on Iranian facilities in the Strait of Hormuz.

This was stated in a statement by the U.S. Central Command on the social network X.

"Today at 12:00 p.m. Eastern time, the U.S. armed forces began striking facilities of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in Iran. The strikes followed recent attempted attacks by the IRGC on commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and on American service members deployed in the region," the statement says.
