Major road accident in Egypt: 16 people killed

At least 16 people were killed in a crash involving a passenger bus on Egypt's Sinai Peninsula.

This was reported on September 2 by Egypt's Ministry of Health.

"As a result of the accident, 16 people died at the scene," the ministry's statement said.

Another 28 injured people were hospitalized. The accident occurred near the village of Al-Saada in the province of South Sinai. Twenty ambulances were dispatched to the scene.
