FBI shuts down crypto channel for financing Hamas
The U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has shut down a channel for financing Hamas through cryptocurrency assets that were collected in the form of donations in the United States and other countries.

According to the FBI, the identified fundraising scheme was launched by the organization in 2019. It involves several online platforms linked to Hamas.
During the operation, American law enforcement officers also gained access to the data of thousands of people involved in financing Hamas activities.
All of the organization's resources used as part of this scheme were blocked. In addition, FBI employees seized about $560,000 in cryptocurrency that was held in crypto wallets linked to Hamas.
