Tokayev returns Tleuberdi to the post of foreign minister
Mukhtar Tleuberdi has once again been appointed minister of foreign affairs of Kazakhstan.
The corresponding decree was signed by the country's president, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
As Akorda reports, Tleuberdi has been relieved of the position he previously held. Prior to his appointment, the post of head of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry was held by Yermek Kosherbayev.
Mukhtar Tleuberdi first headed Kazakhstan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs in September 2019.
From January 2021 to April 2023, he served as deputy prime minister — minister of foreign affairs.
In 2023, Tleuberdi was appointed Kazakhstan's ambassador to Austria.
