Erdogan indicated that he discussed the S-400 issue with Putin
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated that at his meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in Bishkek on September 1, he discussed "all issues" on the bilateral agenda.
In this way, he responded to a question from journalists in his press pool about whether the topic of the S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems purchased from Russia and their possible sale to a third country had been discussed.
"We discussed with Mr. Putin all the issues included in our bilateral agenda," Erdogan replied to a direct question about whether the S-400 issue had been discussed with Putin. Earlier, the Turkish press claimed that the S-400s could be sold to a third country in order to resolve the problems between Turkey and the United States in the context of the F-35.
"As you know, Turkey was one of the partners in the F-35 program. It made a significant contribution. Negotiations on Turkey's reinstatement in the program are continuing. We believe that this issue will be resolved as soon as certain processes in America are completed," he added.
