Ukraine warns ICAO about the danger of Russian airspace

Ukraine has officially notified the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) that Russian airspace is becoming unsafe for civil aviation due to increased military activity.

This was stated by Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha.

"Against the backdrop of a sharp escalation of Russian terror against Ukraine, Russian airspace is becoming increasingly unsafe," the minister noted.

He emphasized that Kyiv considers it necessary to warn ICAO, airlines, and the governments of various countries about the existing risks.

"We want to prevent unintended incidents and call on everyone to exercise maximum caution," the head of the Ukrainian foreign policy agency concluded.
