Katz: Israel intends to remove all Palestinians from Gaza
Israel is ready to facilitate the departure of Gaza residents from the war-ravaged territory if the United States gives its consent.
This was stated on Wednesday by Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz at a conference organized by the Israeli news website Ynet.
According to Katz, without the resettlement of the population, it is impossible to find a "real solution" to the problem of the Gaza Strip.
Speaking about U.S. President Donald Trump's proposal to resettle about two million Gaza residents in countries such as Egypt and Jordan, the minister said that the American leader had not abandoned this idea, but had only suspended its implementation due to pressure from Arab states.
"Trump has not abandoned his idea, he has only suspended it," Katz said. According to him, this plan has not been taken off the agenda and continues to be discussed, including at the present time.
