Estonia's defense minister resigns
Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur has resigned amid a scandal over arms procurement, including weapons intended for Ukraine.
As ERR reports, the scandal is linked to an audit that revealed Estonia had tried to purchase artillery shells for Ukraine from Indian companies that had never previously sold a single shell.
In total, the companies were paid €70 million as an advance, but Estonia never received the purchased munitions.
Pevkur had headed Estonia's Ministry of Defense since 2022.
