Central Bank fines Payonix and ePoint
The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) has applied administrative liability measures against two companies operating in the payment market.

It is noted that during an on-site inspection conducted by the CBA at Baku Pay LLC (Payonix) between March 31 and April 15, 2026, violations of legal requirements related to ensuring the security of funds were identified.
In this regard, an official of the company was fined 2,000 manats in accordance with Article 439-2.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Another case involves Global İnnovations LLC (ePoint). During an on-site inspection conducted by the CBA at the company between February 24 and March 17, 2026, a number of violations of the requirements of the legislation on combating the legalization of property obtained through crime and the financing of terrorism were established.
In connection with the identified violations, Global İnnovations LLC, as a legal entity, was fined 50,000 manats in accordance with Articles 598.1.1, 598.1.2, 598.1.5, and 598.4 of the Code of Administrative Offenses.
According to information published by the CBA, administrative liability measures were applied against both companies in connection with violations of the law identified during the on-site inspections.
