Netanyahu declares the need for a change of power in Iran
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that one of the country's main tasks at this stage is to overthrow the current regime in Iran. According to him, Israel is capable of achieving this goal in the foreseeable future.
"I am convinced that we are able to eliminate this threat once and for all — that is, to overthrow the regime in Tehran. This is the main goal that still lies before us, and its achievement is already close. This is not impossible and is entirely attainable," Netanyahu said. His words were distributed by the prime minister's office.
The head of the Israeli government also asserts that the Islamic Republic is now in the most vulnerable position in its entire history and is effectively fighting for survival.
Addressing Israel's opponents, Netanyahu stated that his country has enough strength, determination, and internal unity to achieve victory.
The statement was made during a meeting with Defense Minister Israel Katz, IDF Chief of the General Staff Eyal Zamir, and other representatives of the army leadership. The meeting took place on the eve of Rosh Hashanah — the Jewish New Year, which this year is celebrated on September 11–13.
