The Kremlin says there are no specific preconditions for peace in Ukraine
Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said that at present there are no established preconditions for a peaceful settlement of the situation around Ukraine.
Commenting on Vladimir Putin's statements at the Eastern Economic Forum about the remaining chances for peace, the Kremlin spokesman clarified that the process has not yet reached a substantive stage.
According to him, contacts and working processes are continuing, however, it is too early to speak of any specific dynamic shifts or new initiatives.
