Russia appeals to the International Civil Aviation Organization over Ukraine's threats
Russia has sent an urgent appeal to the Secretary General of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in connection with Ukraine's threats against civil aviation.
This was stated in a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.
It is noted that Russia is invariably committed to ensuring the safety of civil aviation.
"Russia categorically rejects the NOTAM notices issued by the Ukrainian authorities about the alleged lack of safety of the airspace of the Russian Federation. Moscow called on ICAO to condemn the Ukrainian regime's unlawful interference in the activities of civil aviation and the creation of direct threats to it, as well as to take targeted measures aimed at stopping these actions by Ukraine," the statement of the Russian Foreign Ministry says.
Let us note that earlier the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, threatened Moscow with the closure of Russia's airspace.
