Pierre Gasly wins Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix qualifying for the first time in his career

French driver Pierre Gasly of the Alpine team has become the winner of qualifying for the Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix at the Monza circuit for the first time in his career.

Second place in the session went to British Mercedes driver George Russell, while third was taken by Australian Oscar Piastri, who competes for McLaren. Italian Kimi Antonelli (Mercedes), who leads the overall championship standings, posted the seventh-best result. The main Grand Prix race will begin on Sunday at 17:00 Baku time.
