UAE will not allow its energy exports to be blocked in the Strait of Hormuz
The UAE will not allow its energy exports to be held "hostage" in the Strait of Hormuz.
This was stated by the diplomatic adviser to the president of the UAE, Anwar Gargash, at the Hili Forum - 2026 in Abu Dhabi.
According to him, the Strait of Hormuz must be regarded exclusively as an international waterway and cannot be controlled by any single state.
Gargash also called unacceptable the situation in which tankers and other commercial vessels continue to face security threats while passing through this strategically important maritime artery.
The presidential adviser separately noted that restoring trust in the UAE's relations with Iran on the international stage could take decades.
