European Commission: Forecasts about visa-free travel for Armenia are premature
The European Commission considers forecasts about the possible introduction of a visa-free regime between Armenia and the European Union by 2029 to be premature.
This was stated by European Commission spokesperson Paula Pinho at a briefing in Brussels.
According to her, it is still too early to predict with certainty whether 2029 or any other date will be the moment of visa liberalization.
At the same time, the Armenian government's program for 2026–2031 sets the goal of achieving a full visa-free regime with the EU by 2029.
