FT learns that Witkoff and Kushner brought updated documents on a Ukraine settlement to Moscow and Kyiv

American negotiators Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner brought to their meetings in Moscow and Kyiv updated documents that take into account the change in circumstances since talks on resolving the Ukrainian conflict were suspended in February, the Financial Times (FT) reported on Monday, citing sources.

"People familiar with the talks said the Americans brought updated versions of previously drafted documents on achieving peace, which were changed so as to reflect the new circumstances, after the settlement talks reached a dead end in February," the report says.

According to the sources, Witkoff and Kushner put forward only a few new ideas and were more "trying to revive past proposals," the newspaper notes.

The last time Russian and Ukrainian negotiators met face to face was in Switzerland in February, with Witkoff and Kushner acting as mediators.
