Iran doubles the price of gasoline
The government of Iran has doubled the price of gasoline under the third tariff — from 50,000 to 100,000 rials per liter.
This was reported on September 8 by the state broadcasting company IRIB.
The new tariff took effect at 00:00. At the same time, prices in the first two categories remained unchanged — 15,000 and 30,000 rials per liter, respectively.
The increase affected the third price group, which is applied after all the limits on the fuel card have been exhausted. Previously, gasoline under this tariff cost 50,000 rials per liter.
