Latvia may ban bus service to Russia and Belarus

Latvia is considering a complete ban on passenger bus transportation to Russia and Belarus starting in 2027.

The initiative plans to ban both regular and irregular bus transportation of passengers, as well as transit routes through Latvian territory in the direction of Russia and Belarus.

Currently, only one regular bus route operates from Latvia to Russia. The permit for its use is valid until January 9, 2027, after which it is not planned to be extended.
