Erdogan: Turkey will not allow anyone to interfere in the region's affairs

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated that Ankara will not remain indifferent to "hostile steps" in the region and will not allow threats to the country's territory.

"Our dignified and level-headed attitude should not mislead anyone. We will not allow anyone to conduct operations on our lands," Erdogan said following a meeting of the Turkish cabinet.

Erdogan stated that Turkey will continue to work on strengthening unity and stability in the region.

"We harbor no hostility toward anyone. Those who are troubled by the strengthening of our country will not be able to force us to stray from our path," the president emphasized.

The president emphasized that Ankara intends to develop cooperation with countries that take Turkey's interests into account.

Speaking about the situation in the region, Erdogan stated that the consequences of the war in the Middle East are being felt, among others, by countries not directly involved in the conflict.
