Post offices in Russia to be armed with anti-drone equipment
In the spring, the authorities allowed a number of institutions to independently counter drone attacks without waiting for the intervention of specialized services.
The Russian government has expanded the list of service and civilian weapons and special equipment provided to employees of postal organizations, adding anti-drone equipment to it. The corresponding decree has been published on the legal information portal.
The document amends government decree No. 38 of January 26, 2005, "On the provision of service and civilian weapons, ammunition for them and special equipment to employees of federal postal service organizations."
A clause has been added to the list on special technical means intended to counter unmanned aerial, underwater and surface vessels and devices, unmanned vehicles and other automated unmanned systems.
The decree was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
