Britain allocates a "winter" package of air defense assets for Ukraine
The United Kingdom will provide Ukraine with £100 million (€116 million) for an air defense package ahead of winter.
It will include, in particular, Patriot missiles.
This was reported to "European Pravda" by the British government.
Under the new package, Ukraine will receive interceptors for air defense systems, large-caliber artillery shells, and drones. The weapons will be delivered through the PURL mechanism. The Patriot missiles and other air defense equipment are planned to be handed over to Ukraine before the start of winter.
The decision to allocate the aid was made following visits by the British prime minister and defense secretary to Kyiv. During the meetings, the Ukrainian president emphasized the importance of additional support for the country ahead of winter.
