Alen Simonyan reported regular contacts with Hikmet Hajiyev
The Secretary of Armenia's Security Council, Alen Simonyan, stated that he maintains regular contacts with the assistant to the president of Azerbaijan – head of the foreign policy department of the Presidential Administration, Hikmet Hajiyev, Armenian media report.
"We are always in contact. I have Hajiyev's phone number, he has mine. You could say that we talk once every two days," Simonyan told journalists.
He confirmed that he also spoke with Hajiyev after the trip of the diplomatic corps accredited in Azerbaijan to the liberated territories.
The Secretary of the Security Council did not disclose the details of the conversation. According to him, the purpose of the talks is to preserve the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
