Robots took to the runway at Vogue World in Milan - VIDEO
Milan hosted another edition of the large-scale Vogue World project, in which not only celebrities and models but also robots appeared on the runway.
The show took place on September 22 in the historic Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II and was dedicated to Italian craftsmanship, innovation, and the future of fashion, 1news.az reports, citing Vogue. The program consisted of five thematic parts, one of which was titled "The Age of Intelligence." It was in this part of the show that dancing robots appeared on the runway, becoming part of a performance dedicated to the interaction of fashion and modern technology.
According to Vogue's concept, "The Age of Intelligence" was meant to show the moment when traditional Italian craftsmanship meets the technologies of the future – it should be noted that the program also featured intelligent and sustainable materials capable of responding to temperature, movement, and environmental conditions.
Vogue World is a large-scale international Vogue project that brings together fashion, culture, music, film, and performance. It was first held in 2022 in New York. Initially, the project was conceived as a large-scale fashion show and city event intended to support the industry after the pandemic. At the same time, Vogue World also has a charitable component. In Milan, Vogue announced an investment of at least 2 million euros (more than 3.9 million manats) in the renovation of the Quarto Oggiaro library in the northwest of the city, which is planned to be turned into a cultural center for creativity, technology, and the development of young talent.
