In Georgia, a 13-year-old citizen of Azerbaijan gave birth to twins
In Georgia's Marneuli district, a 13-year-old Azerbaijani teenage girl gave birth to twins.
As 1news.az reports citing APA, this information was circulated by public activist Samira Bayramova.
She noted that one of the infants died at the maternity hospital, while the condition of the second is assessed as serious.
Samira Bayramova told APA that the 13-year-old girl is a citizen of Azerbaijan, and the person to whom she was married off is a citizen of Georgia.
Georgia's Ministry of Internal Affairs has launched an investigation into this fact. The investigation is being conducted under the article of Georgia's Criminal Code covering sexual relations with a person under 16 years of age.
