This is a victory: White House states that the U.S. has achieved and surpassed its main military goals
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt called the temporary ceasefire in the conflict with Iran a "victory for the U.S."
"This is a victory for the United States, secured by President Trump and our incredible military," Leavitt wrote on her page on the social network X.
"From the very beginning of Operation Epic Fury, President Trump anticipated that it would last 4-6 weeks. Thanks to the incredible abilities of our warriors, we have achieved and surpassed our main military goals in just 38 days," she noted.
According to her, the success of the American armed forces created maximum leverage, allowing Donald Trump and his team to conduct tough negotiations that have now "paved the way for a diplomatic solution and long-term peace," as well as led to the resumption of shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
"Never underestimate President Trump's ability to successfully advocate for America's interests and mediate peace," Leavitt wrote.
