In Azerbaijan, new regulatory and legal documents are planned to be developed in the customs sphere to enhance the flexibility of business processes and simplify trade operations.
With the aim of minimizing storage costs and ensuring more prompt delivery of products to consumers, the formation of a regulatory framework for the introduction of a two-stage goods clearance mechanism is envisaged, reports 1news.az citing Report.az.
It is expected that these works will be completed by the State Customs Committee by December 1 of this year.
In addition, improvements to the regulatory and legal framework for the creation of a pre-notification system for international cargo transportation are planned - this work will be carried out by the SCC in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport.
Simultaneously, the preparation of draft regulatory and legal acts related to the introduction of the authorized economic operator status is foreseen.
All the above-mentioned measures are planned to be implemented by the end of this year.
