Vance: U.S. confident in strong cooperation with Hungary's new prime minister

The United States is confident in establishing very good cooperation with Hungary's next Prime Minister, Péter Magyar.

This was stated by U.S. Vice President JD Vance.

"I am confident that we will work very well with Hungary's new prime minister," he said during a live broadcast on Fox News.
Vance noted that he visited Hungary on the eve of the elections to support the incumbent Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, largely because Orbán is one of the few European leaders who want to stand up to the bureaucracy of the European Union.

"We came out [in support] not because we expected Viktor [Orbán] to win the elections. We came out because it was right to support someone who has supported us for a very long time. So, it wasn’t about Russia and, essentially, not about Europe. It was about the United States and the fact that he is a good partner not only for me personally and for President [Donald Trump], but also for the U.S.," the Vice President emphasized.
