Moldova to officially exit CIS in April 2027

Moldova will officially exit the CIS in April 2027, with notification already sent to Minsk.

This was announced to journalists by Foreign Minister Mihai Popșoi.

"After the promulgation by President Maia Sandu of the parliament's decisions to denounce the agreements on Moldova's participation in the CIS, a notification was sent to the secretariat in Minsk on April 8. We have received confirmation of its receipt, and in April 2027, the republic is expected to officially leave the CIS," the minister said.
