Erdogan declares sabotage of peace process between Iran and USA unacceptable

Turkey does not lose hope for a positive outcome in the negotiations between Iran and the USA, despite all difficulties, stated President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Speaking at a meeting of the parliamentary faction of the Justice and Development Party (AK Parti) in the Grand National Assembly, the Turkish president noted the growing tension in the Strait of Hormuz.

“Negotiations are not conducted with clenched fists. We must not allow weapons to speak again instead of diplomacy. We cannot allow Israel, which is not interested in a ceasefire, to sabotage the process,” said Erdogan. “If we focus on peace, many problems can be solved. We are always ready to be the voice of peace and a leader of peace initiatives under the slogan ‘peace at home, peace in the region, peace in the world.’ No one will be able to silence brave hearts,” he added.
