Iran threatens to sink all U.S. ships in Persian Gulf if necessary
Iran's armed forces could sink all U.S. Navy ships in the Persian Gulf within missile range if necessary, claims Mohsen Rezaei, a member of the Expediency Discernment Council of the Islamic Republic.
“Extending the ceasefire is not at all in our interests. This is my personal opinion. The pressure must increase. Our launchers are currently aimed at the ships, and we will sink them all. No one will be able to escape us,” he said on state television.
According to Rezaei, there are currently grounds to maintain the truce and conduct negotiations simultaneously. “But this is a military lull, not a final ceasefire. This is the exact expression used by the Supreme Leader,” he added.
