Azerbaijan has significantly strengthened its position on the international stage in the field of cybersecurity.

The country has risen 21 places in the National Cybersecurity Index (NCSI), moving from 52nd to 31st position, reports 1news.az citing the Electronic Security Service.

According to the international index compiled by the e-Governance Academy, the country's score increased from 75.83 to 83.33 points.

The NCSI covers more than 100 countries and is considered one of the most authoritative tools for international assessment in the field of cybersecurity. The index analyzes not only technical capabilities but also the legal framework, management capacities, and the level of national readiness for cyber threats.

The assessment across 12 key areas and 49 indicators shows that Azerbaijan has made significant progress in terms of rapid response to cyber threats, the development of national policy, the enhancement of institutional capabilities, and the expansion of international cooperation.

The Electronic Security Service notes that the achieved results are a consequence of targeted state policy. Strategic decisions aimed at strengthening cybersecurity, developing the digital economy, and advancing e-governance have significantly increased the country's competitiveness on the international stage.

"State investments in the sector, systematic training of specialists, and comprehensive measures to protect critical information infrastructure have fundamentally changed the country's standing in this area. Consistent efforts to improve national legislation, establish specialized institutions, and expand international partnerships have also been key factors in this success," the Electronic Security Service emphasizes.
