"Turks open today": Pashinyan explains the words whispered to him by the Armenian foreign minister
When importing goods from Turkey, Armenia will now be indicated as the importing country.
This was stated on Tuesday by the leader of the "Civil Contract" Nikol Pashinyan at a meeting with voters in Yerevan's Shengavit district.
This is how he explained what the words of Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan meant about "the Turks opening tomorrow."
According to Pashinyan, previously Turkish legislation did not allow indicating Armenia as the importing country. In other words, goods destined for Armenia were processed in third countries and then delivered here.
Now changes are being introduced to Turkish legislation, according to which Armenia will be added to the list of importing countries for Turkish products.
It is noted that earlier, during a meeting of "Civil Contract" members with Shengavit voters, Ararat Mirzoyan whispered something in Nikol Pashinyan's ear. Despite the covered microphones, the media caught the minister's initial phrase – "the Turks are opening today. We will make a welcome text, a comment from the Foreign Ministry press secretary."
