Kim Jong Un inspects enterprises of the defense industry of the DPRK

DPRK leader Kim Jong Un visited a number of enterprises of the country's military-industrial complex, KCNA reports.

During the inspection, the head of state familiarized himself with the implementation of plans for the production of armaments for the first half of 2026. Kim Jong Un noted the high labor spirit of the workers in the defense sector and emphasized the growth in the output of various ammunition, which, according to him, contributes to strengthening the combat capability of the army.

At the same time, the North Korean leader pointed to a number of problems in the sphere of production, infrastructure, and organization of the work of enterprises. He emphasized the need to modernize production capacities, improve the management system, train qualified personnel, and strengthen product quality control.

During the visit to one of the factories, Kim Jong Un also set the task of expanding the production of high-precision and training ammunition of various calibers in accordance with the needs of the army.

In addition, the DPRK leader called for intensifying the development of the artillery direction, including the creation of a specialized complex for the production of artillery systems and the modernization of small arms enterprises.
