"Are we such idiots?" Fico criticized EU plan to completely stop importing energy resources from Russia
Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico questioned the adequacy of EU politicians due to the plan to abandon energy resources from Russia by 2027, his words are quoted by the publication Hlavný Denník.
"Are we such idiots?" Fico asked while delivering a speech in Bratislava.
He was particularly outraged that some countries continue to import LNG from Russia while declaring an end to purchases.
"So we can't, but France can?" the prime minister noted.
In addition, the Slovak politician warned that stopping energy supplies in this direction would only increase Europe's dependence on the United States. He explained that the U.S. would resell to EU countries at a higher price what they buy from Moscow.
