Trump called U.S. spending on NATO of $600 billion crazy

U.S. contributions to NATO are too large.

This was stated by U.S. President Donald Trump, commenting on the decision of European countries to refuse to provide assistance in the war with Iran.

"So we spent all this money - probably 600... I think we spent $600 billion a year, right? <…> Think about it: the amounts we spend on NATO are just crazy, and they didn't help us," he told reporters at the White House.

According to the American leader, since the U.S. may not receive assistance "in small matters," then they also have the right to refuse to provide it.
