Rules for Azerbaijanis heading to Russia change

New rules for Azerbaijani citizens entering Russia without a visa take effect today.

Starting July 1, citizens of countries with visa-free regime with Russia, including Azerbaijan, are required to use the mobile application "Gosuslugi RuID" when entering the country, reports the website of the Russian Union of Travel Industry (RST).

According to the new rules, Azerbaijani citizens planning a trip to Russia must submit the corresponding application through the "Gosuslugi RuID" app no later than 72 hours before entering the country.

The rule does not apply to citizens of Belarus, children under 6 years old, diplomats, holders of service passports, and members of official delegations.
